Mount
The mount is one of the most dominant postitions for the top player. At this point, he has complete hip control of his opponent and all his body weight is centered directly above the bottom man. In a mixed martial arts event, it is not uncommon to see some of the worst beatings take place from the mount. Luckily, with enough drilling and practice, there are excellent escapes from this position which aren’t too challenging to pull off.
